Britain reopen its Tehran embassy, the scene over the years of numerous historical dramas, and thereby opened itself to delicate international brinkmanship amid an almost universal regional disdain for the West’s overture to Iran after the six-party nuclear agreement. In Britain and Europe at large, Britain’s move was universally welcome and followed similar overtures by Germany, France and other members of the European Union.

Officials announced earlier British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond will visit Iran at the weekend for the reopening. Not wasting a moment of the business opportunity that Iran represents, Hammond will lead a delegation of business leaders.

Iranian media said Hammond will arrive in Tehran on Saturday for the reopening scheduled for Sunday.
