The Middle East in Europe Forum | Membership

The Middle East in Europe Forum (MEEF) is a well-established and widely acknowledged networking platform which offers opportunities to members to make their professional profile known to a wider — arguably global — audience of The Middle East in Europe subscribers and visitors to its websites, www.meenet.info and TheMiddleEastinEurope.net. The two sites are now merged into one after a careful but long-drawn completion of transfers of historical archives dating back to 2003, the year of the magazine’s inception, as well as legacy materials dating back to the 1980s.

The Middle East in Europe Forum is a multidisciplinary forum for a no-holds-barred exchange of ideas on a number of topics, chief amongst them being:

  1. Business & Finance
  2. Governance and Politics
  3. Art, Culture and Society

Standard Annual MEEF Membership costs GBP 60.00 per year [Join / Request invoice]. Membership is open to professionals of all industries and sectors, government institutions and officials, business and private independent professional groups, organisations, universities and university libraries. The Forum offers opportunities and privileges that are summed up below:
1.    A 100-word Member Profile entry, with the option to include a photograph or a logo, in the MEEF Members Directory for the duration of the membership, which can be autorenewable through a direct debit or a standing order mandate. The Members Directory entry can be amended as required;
2.    Free preferential entry to all EAPGROUP events, 33% discount on ticketed events, including special exhibitions, conferences and seminars.
3.    Full access to archival materials dating back to the 1980s and MEE archives from 2003, the magazine’s inception year, including:  a > Restricted digital content otherwise sold through various EAPGROUP and third party portals; b > Subscriber newsletters and c > subscriber e-bulletins and > d Digital editions of regular and special issues of The Middle East in Europe.
4.    A preferential 33% discount on EAPGROUP journals and books, back issues and monographs available at SAFNET; and
5.    Preferential discounts on international consultancy services in marketing and sales, publishing and Web administration.

Membership Content Page
The Standard Annual Membership to The Middle East in Europe Forum gives members the option to acquire a short- or long-term Member Content Page at The Middle East in Europe website/s . The Member Content Page can be a simple introduction, such as an extended personal profile. The Forum, however, recommends that the Member Content Page is dedicated to attractive, verifiable professional data intended for a global audience. The Member Content Page is published primarily at The Middle East in Europe website/s and membership updates are included in news and service bulletins, allowing for maximum exposure . The Member Content Page can be amended as required during the duration of the subscription. An expired subscription can be renewed and previous data can be restored and worked on for a new term of Standard Annual Membership or Member Content Page subscription.

Member Content Page
The Member Content Page allows for 500 to 1800 words, depending on the Category (1 to 3) chosen, three to nine images, again depending on the Category (1 to 3) chosen, on MEENET websites. Members have the option but are not required to include Contact data including a URL, an email address, up to two telephone numbers and five social media links. Note: Although members can choose not to have any of those details displayed in their Profile for Standard Annual Membership or in their Member Content Page, inclusion of such data is recommended for theStandard Annual Membership and Member Content Page subscription to work effectively.

Subscription to Member Content Page is available in three categories and can be bought for a month or several months and is activated for a full calendar month from the date a Member Content Page goes live, ie not from the day payment is received. This is to allow for maximum benefit for the fees paid and for timely publicity for scheduled exhibitions and events as well as effective propagation of less time-sensitive products or services on longer terms. The subscription categories are:
1.    Category 1 | Professional Individual, eg academic, professional or student belonging to any industry or sector relevant to The Middle East in Europe, including  self-employed or representing an organisation or professional entity from any sector | GBP 50.oo pcm (per calendar month) > Contact MEEF to Begin Subscription in this Category and Request an Invoice
2.    Category 2 | Professional Group, comprising more than one individual linked by a single URL but multiple social media links | GBP 90.oo pcm (per calendar month) > Begin Subscription in this Category and Request an Invoice
3.    Category 3 | Organisation, business or consultancy, including PR consultancy, other organisations, with a single URL and multiple email and social media addresses | GBP 150.oo pcm (per calendar month) > Begin Subscription in this Category and Request an Invoice

Please state in your communication if you wish to start 1 > Annual Standard Membership [GBP 60.oo pcm] and 2 > Member Content Subscription [GBP 50.oo pcm / GBP 90.oo pcm / GBP 150.oo pcm] simultaneously or  3 > start Standard Annual Membership [GBP 30.oo pcm] only at this stage. If you wish to start 1 and 2 together please state the chosen category of the Member Content Page and the initial period required for the publication of the Member Content Page.
Please do not use an alias, a nom de plume or an assumed name when joining and please provide contact details (initially for Membership administration and not for publication unless specified).

Please submit > 1 a carefully edited text of no more than 900 words (in text or Word format) summing up your professional work and >2 up to three images (your own logo, photographs) of your choice in a good resolution of minimum 5000 pixels width. Once you have paid for your membership you’ll be advised how to send your image and logo. If you exceed 900 words your text will be edited and emailed back to you for review before publication and therefore will take longer to publish. Category 2 | Professional Group, comprising more than one individual linked by a single URL but multiple social media links. Please submit > 1 a carefully edited text of no more than 1800 words (in text or Word format) summing up your group’s professional work, current or future activities and > 2 up to five  images (own logo, photographs) for each member of the group in a good resolution of minimum 5000 pixels width. Once you have paid for your membership you’ll be advised how to send your images. If you exceed 1800 words your text will be edited and emailed back to you for review before publication and therefore will take longer to publish.
